The Slereboån river meanders through a dense spruce forest surrounded valley, located between the ancient farms Röserna and Svedjan, in the heart of Risveden. The landscape features natural hills and valleys, yet the hiking trail remains easily traversable. It's only during the final 100-150 meters before reaching Sveafallet in Gäddevadsbäcken, just before its confluence with Slereboån, the hiker faces a mild topographic challenge.

Encountering the sparkling water beside the well-trodden path creates a marvelous sense of nature's grandeur. The Svea Falls, named after the mythical Svedjan, presents a roaring duet of secrets from the past. Clear traces remain of attempts to harness hydropower, likely through the use of water mills.

The gristmill, also known as the skvalta or Greek mill, is a structure that utilizes the power of water to grind grain between two horizontally placed millstones. This is a timeless technology with origins dating back thousands of years, and the use of falling water to drive flour milling and wood processing has a deep and impressive history going back thousands of years.
